So, you’ve decided you want a custom engagement ring. Awesome! But, how do you make that happen?

The first order of business: you will have to determine the type of gemstone you’d like (sapphire, diamond, ruby, etc.), the stone shape and cut that you prefer, as well as the overall style for the ring. You can get an idea of what you like by scrolling through Pinterest, Instagram (search for hashtags like #engagementringinspo or #engagementringideas and follow our Instagram at @auroradesign999), or view our archive here:https://www.auroradesigner.com/collections/ooak-archive

Once you decide what you like, you have reached the fun part: choosing your stone! You can browse our loose stone inventory by navigating to the “Custom” tab on our website, or by following this link.

Note: The below instructions are for placing your order through our website, which offers greater flexibility and customization options than our Etsy store. We often provide coupon codes for our website orders to promote our brand. So we recommend that you place your order through our website. If you prefer to place your order through our Etsy store, please see instructionshere.

On our website, our gemstones are grouped by the stone type (e.g. diamonds, sapphires, sunstones, etc.). Once you click into that stone category, you can filter by stone shape / cut. Our gemstones are 100% natural and earth-mined (with the exception of moissanite, which is lab-created). Each stone is one-of-a-kind, so what you see is what you get! Details for each stone are listed in the description, including the stone weight, dimensions, and additional photos/videos (if available).

Because these gemstones are natural and earth-mined, each of them is truly unique. We are unable to source stones of a specific size or in an alternative color. We get what we find! If you do not find the exact stone that you like right away, you can always wait to see our next batch of stones. Make sure to follow us on Instagram and watch for our new merchandise alerts!

Once you choose a stone, you can add it to the shopping cart. You will need to choose a setting for the stone separately. You will find some of our popular ring styles in the “Engagement Ring Styles” section under the “Custom” tab referenced in the image above, or by following this link. Once you choose a style, use the drop-down menus in each listing to specify other customization details such as shank style, finish, material (metal), ring size, and more. If any other specifications are needed, you can leave a note with your order. Add the ring style to the shopping cart as well.

Once you have both the center stone and ring style added to the shopping cart, check out and you will be in good hands to have your dream ring made!

If a completely different style is needed, please contact us so that we can help to flesh out all the details and create a custom listing for you. We know that purchasing such a high-value item (both financially and sentimentally) is both exciting and nerve-wracking. We are here to make that process as smooth as possible for you!
